Early Life and Gymnastics Career

Chelsea began her gymnastics journey at the tender age of three, quickly demonstrating a natural aptitude for the sport. Her commitment and talent earned her a full athletic scholarship to George Washington University (GW), where she competed at the NCAA Division I level. During her tenure, Chelsea amassed numerous accolades, including:

• EAGL Rookie of the Year (2014): Recognized for her outstanding debut season.
• EAGL Vault Co-Champion (2014): Secured the top spot in vault at the conference championship.
• NCAA Regional Champion on Vault: Demonstrated exceptional prowess in her event.
• NCAA National Championship Qualifier (2017): Earned her place among the nation’s elite gymnasts.

Beyond individual achievements, Chelsea played a pivotal role in leading the GW gymnastics team to two conference championships in 2015 and 2017, serving as a co-captain in her senior year.

Transition to Coaching and CrossFit

After concluding her competitive gymnastics career, Chelsea transitioned into coaching, joining GW as an assistant coach in August 2018. Her leadership contributed to the team’s continued success, including an East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Championship in 2022.

In 2018, Chelsea discovered CrossFit, finding a new avenue to channel her competitive spirit. She quickly excelled, finishing in the top 400 in her region within four years. Her passion for fitness and community led her to earn CrossFit Level 1 and Level 2 Trainer certifications, and she began coaching at Ballston CrossFit in July 2023.

Grid League and the SWFL Sharks

Chelsea’s athletic journey took an exciting turn when she joined the SWFL Sharks in the United Grid League as a bodyweight specialist. Embracing the fast-paced, strategic nature of Grid competitions, she became a key contributor to the team’s success. Chelsea’s approach emphasizes mental preparation and team support, reflecting her gymnastics background.
