STRENGTH IN THE MAKING: How a DPT Student Became a Grid Elite

Before Jordyn Bush steps on the Grid, she’s already spent years building bodies, hers and others’. A Doctor of Physical Therapy student and coach at 908 Athletics, Bush brings Olympic weightlifting credentials and CrossFit Games experience to the New York Wolves’ roster. Her background in biomechanics and athletic development isn’t decoration; it’s the foundation for how she approaches strength in the Grid, where raw power meets tactical positioning.

The Garwood, NJ native has worked across some of the Northeast’s most demanding athletic spaces, including Philadelphia Barbell Club and Myokinetix, where she coached and trained alongside elite-level athletes. That experience translates directly to the Grid. Bush understands not just how to move heavy weight, but why certain movement patterns matter and how recovery shapes performance. At 5’7″, her build defies the traditional power-athlete mold, strength comes in different packages, and hers is unconventional. As a new player to the Wolves, she’s still writing her first chapter in professional Grid competition, but her resume suggests she’s been preparing for this moment longer than most realize.

The Grid doesn’t reward credentials alone; it rewards what you deliver when the clock starts. Bush’s combination of tactical strength knowledge and competitive fire positions her to fill a role that teams often overlook, the athlete who understands the science behind the sport. How quickly she translates that into Grid dominance will define her first season in New York.
