I am a former high-level Romanian gymnast with a strong background in competitive gymnastics, including multiple national and international achievements.
A former member of the Junior Olympic Team, I transitioned into coaching, becoming a CrossFit Level 2. Currently coaching at Alioth, one of the top gyms in the region, I specialize in gymnastics and CrossFit training !
Passionate about performance and helping others achieve their goals, I am excited to take on this new challenge at the highest level !
Former Romanian Junior Olympic gymnast Loredana Niroda has found a new competitive home as a Bodyweight Specialist for the South Beach Palms in the United Grid League. Her path from traditional gymnastics to modern fitness competition showcases her ability to adapt and excel across multiple athletic disciplines.
As #17 for the South Beach Palms, Niroda leverages her extensive gymnastics background in bodyweight-focused events. Her technical precision and strength-to-weight ratio make her particularly valuable during competitions that require advanced gymnastics skills and body control.
Niroda’s athletic foundation was built in Lugoj, Romania, where she trained under celebrated Romanian gymnast Lavinia Miloșevici. As a member of the Romanian Junior Olympic Team, she showed early promise before health issues forced an unexpected retirement from the sport.
Since entering the CrossFit competitive scene in 2021, Niroda has shown remarkable improvement each year. Starting at 68,855th worldwide among women in 2021, she climbed to 5,123rd by 2024. Her Romanian rankings also improved dramatically, moving from 71st to 5th nationally over the same period. She spent her early CrossFit years training at CrossFit Fly High from 2021-2023.
Niroda’s athletic versatility shined in 2025 when she earned 3rd place in her age group at the Spartan Race World Championship in Abu Dhabi. The challenging course covered 21 kilometers through the Liwa desert with 30 obstacles. This built on her earlier success at the 2018 Spartan Race in Brașov, Romania, where she placed 5th.
Standing at 153 cm (4’11”) and competing at 47-49 kg (103-108 lbs), Niroda’s compact frame serves her well in bodyweight movements. Growing up in Lugoj, Romania, the same hometown as gymnastics legend Lavinia Miloșevici, helped shape her early athletic development and connection to Romanian gymnastics tradition.
Niroda has built a strong coaching career alongside her competitive pursuits. As a CrossFit Level 2 coach at Alioth gym, she specializes in gymnastics and CrossFit training. In 2016, she expanded her impact internationally by moving to the United Arab Emirates, where she teaches gymnastics to children and works as a fitness trainer.
Few athletes successfully transition between such different sporting disciplines. Niroda’s background in elite gymnastics, combined with her achievements in CrossFit and obstacle course racing, shows her exceptional adaptability. Her work teaching young athletes while continuing to compete at a high level demonstrates both athletic talent and leadership ability.
The South Beach Palms gained more than just an athlete when they added Niroda to their roster, they got a competitor who brings elite gymnastics technique, proven versatility across multiple sports, and an inspiring story of athletic reinvention. As she continues to compete in the Grid League, Niroda represents the evolution of modern fitness athletes who can excel across multiple disciplines while inspiring the next generation of competitors.
