I am a multi-sport collegiate athlete with a competitive background spanning college football and college soccer. My athletic foundation was built through competing at multiple universities, where I developed versatility, durability, and a high-level understanding of team sport performance across different systems and coaching styles.
Following my collegiate career, I was selected in the NPGL Draft by the Baltimore Anthem, where I competed as a Strength Utility Player. In this role, I was relied upon for physical presence, adaptability, and the ability to contribute across multiple demands of the sport.
I later spent the 2024 season with the Tampa Bay Brigade, before my 2025 season was unfortunately cut short due to injury.
Seth Prochaska’s journey from Division 1 soccer goalkeeper to Grid League athlete showcases the path of a modern multi-sport competitor. Now a utility player for the Tampa Bay Brigade, Prochaska brings unique athleticism and tactical understanding to one of Grid League’s most dynamic teams.
As a key piece in Tampa Bay’s roster rebuild, Prochaska leverages his diverse athletic background to excel in Grid League’s fast-paced, mixed-gender race format. His previous stint with the Baltimore Anthem helped establish him as a versatile competitor who can adapt to various team roles and competition styles.
Before Grid League, Prochaska built his foundation as a collegiate soccer goalkeeper. At Victoria Memorial High School, he earned district Defensive MVP honors and led his team to multiple championships. His collegiate career included stops at Centenary College and the University of Houston-Victoria, where he was recruited as a cornerstone player for their inaugural soccer program.
The transition to functional fitness revealed Prochaska’s exceptional strength and conditioning. His CrossFit achievements include consistent Individual Quarterfinals appearances since 2021, with impressive rankings in the CrossFit Open. His strength numbers tell the story of dedicated training: a 515-pound back squat, 600-pound deadlift, and 280-pound snatch.
Prochaska’s athletic development is backed by serious academic credentials. He holds a Bachelor’s in Nutrition and Exercise Science from Texas A&M University and recently completed his Master’s at Stephen F. Austin University. These degrees, combined with multiple fitness certifications, inform his approach to both competition and coaching.
As a coach since 2008, Prochaska has helped shape the careers of numerous athletes. His client list includes collegiate football players and tennis prospects, with his training methods drawing from his diverse athletic background. Athletes under his guidance praise his ability to blend practical experience with scientific knowledge.
The Edna, Texas native has recently added new chapters to his personal story, marrying Marianne Prochaska and welcoming their first child in 2024. These life changes add depth to his identity as an athlete who balances high-level competition with family life.
Looking ahead, Prochaska’s role in Tampa Bay’s 2024 season positions him to make a significant impact on Grid League’s evolution. His combination of strength, skill, and coaching expertise makes him a valuable asset as both competitor and mentor in the growing sport.
