Tori Hite, From Olympic Weightlifting to Grid League

Tori Hite’s path to becoming a Grid League rookie is marked by remarkable athletic achievements and an ability to excel in challenging environments. As a high school student, she represented Team USA in international weightlifting competitions, laying the foundation for a diverse sports career that would follow. Though a serious neck injury forced her retirement from competitive weightlifting at age 20, this early setback didn’t dim her competitive spirit.

Athletic Journey

After stepping away from weightlifting, Hite found her way to CrossFit, where she has competed consistently for the past decade. Her CrossFit Games rankings show steady improvement, particularly between 2023 and 2024, when she jumped from 6340th to 2829th worldwide among women. She now shares her expertise as a coach at 360 Iron CrossFit, helping others develop their strength and conditioning skills.

Breaking Barriers in Law Enforcement

In 2020, Hite made history as the first female SWAT operator in East Tennessee. This achievement speaks to both her physical capabilities and mental toughness. The demanding nature of SWAT operations requires split-second decision making and peak physical condition, skills that translate directly to competitive athletics.

Life Beyond Competition

Today, Hite balances her athletic pursuits with a career in real estate at Coldwell Banker KPDD. As a military spouse, she’s adapted to the unique challenges that come with frequent moves and changing circumstances. She and her husband live in Fort Mitchell with their 15-month-old daughter Oaklee Laverne, two dogs, and two horses. When she’s not training or working, Hite enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly on the lake, and quiet weekends at home with her family.

Her experience as both an Olympic weightlifter and CrossFit competitor gives her valuable insight into proper technique and training methods.
