Like Carrie, Tyler got his initial exposure to Grid League at a GRID 6 event a few years back. He connected with the same coaching staff and eventually earned his place on the Atlanta Wild roster. Their shared path through the sport culminated in that 2024 championship run. Tyler competed alongside Carrie as Atlanta defeated the Sharks, earning his first professional Grid season as a title-holding athlete.

Tyler’s background in emergency services as a firefighter and EMT gives him a foundation in physical resilience and high-pressure situations. He holds a CrossFit Level One certification and works as a full-time coach at Fit Responder, where he trains athletes in functional fitness. His professional focus on coaching rather than full-time competition distinguishes him from many Grid players. Tyler brings the perspective of someone who understands coaching cues, movement standards, and how athletes progress.

At 5’8″ and 175 pounds as a bodyweight specialist, Tyler fills a critical role in the Grid team structure. Carolina Flight is adding a player with immediate professional Grid experience and a mindset shaped by emergency services and coaching. Two first-year imports from Atlanta’s championship team give the new franchise a head start.
