The second year team out of Jacksonville has a fresh perspective heading it up. Adam Muir and Dez Ambruso out of Gainesville have taken on the team leadership roles with Adam as head coach, and Dez covering the business side of the team. The Steel is one out of 8 teams in the Florida Grid League.

The move comes after founder Jason Blandford had some new business and family demands creep up in his life and he felt he needed help. He mentions of the move:

“I love the team and I wanted to make sure that it got the full attention it deserves to be successful. I’m excited to see the team go to the next level!”

Jason will stay with the team in an advisor/support role.

While Adam and Dez have little GRID experience thus far, they dove in head first and have immersed themselves in the game. They have their sights on some incredible talent and look to make big strides for the team this year. They say of the opportunity:

We are excited for our first year as part of the FGL! Our goal is to bring more awareness to the sport and highlight players who demonstrate extraordinary talent. We can’t wait to share the high speed, adrenaline packed excitement with as many people possible. “

For 2019, the team will stay centered in Jacksonville with practices rotating according to where the players reside.
