The Atlanta Wild lost 10-19 to the New York Wolves at the Mesquite Convention Center in Mesquite, Texas on the opening day of the Dallas weekend.

The roster sheet explains a good deal of it. Atlanta arrived without two of their heaviest strength specialists and without Amanda Fischer, the best player on the roster, and then ran Walking Dead, the format that leans hardest on heavy loading. The Wild failed to finish five races, starting with the Partner Forward that opened the match.

Atlanta ran the heaviest format of the season without two strength specialists.

The Ladder went the same way. New York scored 65 to Atlanta’s 38, and a Ladder margin above ten points zeroes out the losing side, so the Wild took nothing from a race they were still working through when the cap hit. Both teams came up short on the closing Sprint Relay, so it ended 0-0.

Atlanta finished the regular season 1-3. The full table is on the standings page.
