Grid League 2026 – Flight vs Palms: Carolina’s First Season Ends Outside the Playoffs
Match Report · 2026 Season
Dallas · August 29, 2026
The Carolina Flight lost 10-23 to the South Beach Palms at the Mesquite Convention Center in Mesquite, Texas on the opening day of the Dallas weekend. South Beach led the Ladder 61-38, won the Jack and Jill outright, and took the closing Sprint Relay.
The loss ended Carolina’s postseason. At 0-3 the Flight could no longer reach a playoff spot.
The record undersells what it took to get here. Carolina came into 2026 as a late addition, with a fraction of the runway every other team had to recruit and train, and still put a full roster on the Grid for a full season against opponents who had been building for years.
Carolina finished its first season 0-4. The full table is on the standings page.
