Grid League 2026 – Lions vs Wild: Fort Lauderdale Falls 18-19 in Lakeland

The Fort Lauderdale Lions went to the RP Funding Center in Lakeland at 1-0, off a 23-16 win over Tampa Bay to open the season. The Atlanta Wild flipped it.

Former MVP RJ Hibbard returned from injury and steadied a young Wild roster, rookie Anna Dunn won the handstand-walk Ringer Point, and first-years Trey Gordon and Gavin D’Amato kept turning up in the big spots. The Wild took the Ladder 82-77 and held on to win 19-18.

Fort Lauderdale had their own run-in with the officials, challenging a fault on Briley Smith in the kettlebell lunge Ringer Point and losing the challenge.

The loss left Fort Lauderdale at 1-1. The Lions finished the regular season 2-2 and took the East’s second seed on Season Rank Total. The full table is on the standings page.
