Grid League 2026 – Wolves vs Flight: New York Wins the First Match in Franchise History, 21-14

Two expansion teams met at American Dream in New Jersey with no wins between them. The New York Wolves beat the Carolina Flight 21-14, and Daniel Lynne crossed the line to close the Sprint Relay and finish it.

It was the first victory in New York franchise history, and it came in front of the closest thing the Wolves have to a home crowd.

Captain Mike Rosa had put it plainly beforehand. “This is our home. So at the very least, defend your home.”

New York went on to close the weekend 2-0 and finished the regular season 3-1, the most match wins in the East in the club’s first season. The Wolves take the East top seed and a first-round bye at the championship on October 3 and 4 in Lakeland.
