A heat stroke during military training ended Vida Vetterkind’s Army career and sent her home to Wisconsin with no plan. A Palm Beach Breakers teammate found her on Instagram, and a superhero photo shoot showed her something she didn’t know she needed to see. Her story runs through Power Girl, a cross-country move, and a best friend she met on the Grid.

“You can still be beautiful and still be a badass at your sport.”
