Hi! I’m Vilma, a CrossFit affiliate owner (CrossFit E-Fit) and CF-L3 Certified trainer. This is my 3rd year of GRID. I live in Ocala FL with my husband Brandon, and our dog Zero
Vilma Gray wears #23 as a Utility Player for the Atlanta Wild, where she has become a key part of the team’s competitive strategy. Now in her third year of Grid League competition, Gray was specifically recruited by Coach Dan Jackson to help strengthen the Wild’s roster during their comeback campaign. Her versatility as a Utility Player allows her to excel across multiple skills and positions, making her particularly valuable to the team.
Before joining the Grid League, Gray established herself as a respected figure in the CrossFit community. She holds the prestigious CF-L3 certification, placing her among an elite group of CrossFit coaches. As a competitive weightlifter and gym owner, she has demonstrated remarkable athletic abilities, including performing 35 consecutive chest-to-bar pull-ups and 15 consecutive double touches. These achievements showcase both her strength and gymnastics capabilities.
Gray’s path to athletic success wasn’t always clear. After being active in high school sports, she experienced what she describes as a “long, sedentary gap” after turning 18. During this challenging period, she gained 60 pounds and faced significant health issues. The discovery of CrossFit marked a turning point in her life, leading to a complete transformation that inspired her future career path.
As the owner of CrossFit E-Fit, Gray has built a reputation for helping others achieve their fitness goals. She works with clients ranging from 20 to 70 years old, proving that functional fitness can benefit people at any age. One of her proudest moments came when a 71-year-old client credited her training methods for helping them avoid injury during a fall, demonstrating the real-world impact of her coaching approach.
Gray makes her home in Ocala, Florida, where she lives with her husband Brandon and their dog Zero. Known affectionately as “Coach V” by her clients and community, she balances her competitive career with running her gym and helping others achieve their fitness goals.
Gray’s approach to fitness centers on functional movements that translate to everyday life. She believes strongly in the importance of proper mobility alongside strength training, particularly for women. Her programs focus on building practical strength and movement patterns that help people perform better in both sports and daily activities.
As a member of the Atlanta Wild, Gray continues to push her athletic boundaries while inspiring others through her coaching. Her combination of competitive experience and teaching ability makes her a valuable asset to both the Grid League and the broader fitness community. Through her gym and training programs, she carries forward her mission of helping others transform their lives through functional fitness, just as she once transformed her own.
